Your role:
- You are planning and executing all maintenance works in cooperation with the Chief Engineer
- You are ensuring that work in the engine department is carried out as to the necessary professional standard
- You lead and support the engine room crew to keep the vessel in sound condition in every technical, safety and operational aspect
- You maintain and feed the reporting systems to share the maintenance status and upcoming repairs with the onshore team
- You support the Chief Engineer in the procurement process
You hold all necessary STCW qualifications (i.a. III/2).
Ideally, you already gained experience as Second Engineer on vessels equipped with NMF cargo cranes and have sailed on vessels without Electrician. In addition, you have the following knowledge and characteristics:
- Willing to work in a team and target-oriented
- Combining high work motivation with resilience
- Fluent English
