Your main responsibilities:

  • Preparing project-specific transportation execution plans and negotiating with customers for specific transportation plans 
  • Oversee the safe execution of projects and shipments
  • Organise and prepare shipments based on budget, scope and timing
  • Ordering and coordinating equipment, personnel and subcontractor services 
  • Preparing transport and shipment related documentation and invoicing 
  • Communicate on a daily basis with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and other relevant departments as well as internal shared services such as Insurance, Legal, Operations, Marketing, Finance and Controlling to ensure the smooth running of projects and shipments.
  • Resolve shipment related bottlenecks and issues 
  • Escalating issues, delays, incidents, failures, decision needs and budget overruns to the appropriate project manager according to the escalation matrix.
  • Collect all required data and prepare regular KPI-based reports on project and shipment progress, budget and deadlines in accordance with the designated Project Operations SOP. 
  • Preparation and control of post-shipment invoicing

 

Your profile:

  • First experiences in logistics, particularly in the planning, execution and coordination of transports and projects
  • Knowledge of Transport Management Systems (TMS) and operational applications
  • Ability to prepare and manage transport and shipment documentation and invoicing
  • Experience of international logistics requirements and regulations, including customs procedures
  • Skills in budgeting, cost control and KPI based reporting
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
  • Structured and autonomous working style
  • Team player with the ability to work with different departments and external partners
  • Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or comparable qualification
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (especially Excel)
  • Experience with ERP systems and other relevant software solutions for the logistics industry
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Flexibility and willingness to work outside normal working hours as required
